Periban vs. Jack Could Be in Play For Mayweather-Canelo

By Salvador Rodriguez

Super middleweight contender Marco Antonio Periban (20-1, 13KOs) may get a quick return on the Floyd Mayweather-Saul Alvarez undercard on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.  Periban was told by his handlers that he would possibly fight on the card against undefeated Badou Jack (14-0, 10KOs), who is promoted by Mayweather and fights on Friday night against Farrah Ennis (21-1, 12KOs) at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. If that fight will indeed happen in the fall, Jack will have to win and walk away without an injury on Friday. Last month Periban lost a twelve round majority decision to Sakio Bika.

Not sure why people are dissing this fight. Periban put up a fight with Bika. Fought him damn close. I'd like to see him again.

very good card build-up, keep on bringing the house names, put Marcos Maidana vs Bummer and that could be enough?

Tough fight for a dude with 14-0 record. Ballsy matchmaking.
