Janeth Perez (19-2-2, 4KOs) became a two-time champion with a ten round unanimous decision over Galina Koleva Ivanova (14-8-3) to capture the vacant IBF bantamweight championship in Toluca, Mexico. The scores were 98-92, 98-93 for Perez and 98-92 for Ivanova. Perez has previously held the WBA title and lost it earlier this year to Irma Garcia. They held a rematch a few months later, which Garcia also won.
