CHICAGO, IL--All systems are go for tonight's presentation of PBC (Premier Boxing Champions) on Spike TV, which airs live from UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois. The chief principles - Anthony Dirrell, Badou Jack, Daniel Jacobs and Caleb Truax - all weighed within the 10 lb. maximum allowance during Friday's same-day safety check-in, as per terms of the Illinois Boxing Commission.

Dirrell weighed in at 173.8 lbs. on Friday, adding just over 6 lbs. since Thursday's official weigh-in, when he tipped the scales at a shredded 167.4 lbs. for the first defense of his super middleweight belt. Jack came in just within the 10 lb. limit, coming in at 177 lbs. Friday morning after having checked in at 167.8 lbs. on Thursday.

The bout marks Jack's first attempt at a major title. Their second day weigh-in was far less adventurous than Thursday's session, when the two camps nearly brawled on stage. Dirrell made it a point to get in his challenger's face - and chest - at the weigh-in but was nothing but civil on Friday morning, even with the session coming right before breakfast.

"I feel good. I'm replenished, I'm ready to eat and ready fight," Dirrell quipped after jumping off the scale Friday morning.

In the televised co-feature, Daniel Jacobs faces Caleb Truax in a middleweight title fight.

Jacobs weighed 168 lbs., after having come in at 159.4 lbs. on Thursday for the first defense of his middleweight belt. Truax tipped the scales at a healthy 167.6 lbs., up exactly 8 lbs. from his official weight of 159.6 lbs. for his first shot at a major title.

Both legs of the Premier Boxing Champions broadcast on Spike TV pit cancer survivors-turned-titlists versus once-beaten first-time title contenders. The TV portion of the show begins at 9:00pm ET/8:00pm CT and local time.

The requirement made by the Illinois Boxing Commission is similar to the next-day weight requirements of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), even though the sanctioning body is not involved in either title fight on the card. The local commission mandates the 10 lb. safety check for all title fights conducted in the state of Illinois.
