Pavlik vs Lopez Possible For Pacquiao-Mosley Card

By Mark Vester

According to manager Cameron Dunkin, former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik (36-2, 32 KOs) may possibly face undefeated Alfonso Lopez (21-0, 16KOs) on the Manny Pacquiao-Shane Mosley pa-per-view undercard on May 7 in Las Vegas. Dunkin told Michael Rosenthal of RingTV that he still needs to review some video of Lopez before he gives his stamp of approval on the fight. If Dunkin rejects Lopez, some of the other names being mentioned are Joey Spina and Brian Vera.

“He’s a big, tough guy,” Dunkin said. “I want to watch the tape. If we feel he’s the right opponent and he can make 168 pounds, we’ll go with him. If we don’t like what we see, then we’ll revisit other guys we’ve talked about.”
