Pascal vs Erdei: Both Sides Interested, No TV Dates

Promoter Lou DiBella has confirmed to BoxingScene.com that there have been discussions to stage a light heavyweight fight between former champions Jean Pascal (26-2, 16KOs) and Zsolt Erdei (33-0, 18KOs). DiBella, and Pascal's promoter Yvon Michel, are interested in making the fight, but the availability of American television dates is the biggest problem affecting that match.

"We have discussed the possibility of that fight. We're interested in the fight and I think it's great match. But, Yvon doesn't have a televison date for Pascal [with HBO or Showtime] and that's obviously a problem with making the fight happen this year," DiBella told BoxingScene.com.

Pascal is ducking Tavoris Cloud. That's why his people want Erdei instead.

Erdei wins a decision. He's too active and too accurate for Pascal and Pascal would not be able to put Erdei away with a single shot.
