Pascal vs. Bute Sanctioned By WBC For Diamond Title

By Miguel Rivera

The World Boxing Council has sanctioned the WBC light heavyweight Diamond belt for the Canadian super-fight between Jean Pascal (28-2-1, 17KOs) and Lucian Bute (31-1, 24KOs), scheduled to take place on January 18th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The fight was originally scheduled to take place earlier this year, but Bute withdrew with an injury. Due to injuries and scheduling issues, Pascal has averaged one fight per year since 2011. Bute has not fought since a November 2012 decision win over Denis Grachev.

Great fight, but of course WBC sticks their nose and yet another belt in the picture. And they don't care... long as Sulaiman makes more cashish all is well with them.

Shud be good, both can box, both have pop and both have shaky chin's so one way or another we should see some fireworks in this one.
