Adviser Greg Leon, during a recent interview on BoxingScene.com, stated that there were talks for a potential a bout between former light heavyweight world champions Zsolt Erdei (33-0-0) and Jean Pascal (26-2-1). Leon also said that he would love to see a clash between former WBA champion Joachim Alcine (32-2-0) and aspiring contender Antonin Decarie (25-0-1) as the support to Pascal-Erdei.

Montreal promoter Yvon Michel reacted strongly to the interview. Michel told BoxingScene.com that he had never been approached about either fight.

"This is not imagination, but storytelling! I have nothing against the idea, but it is a misrepresentation to say that there are negotiations for Erdei vs. Pascal or Decarie vs. Alcine," Michel said.
 
Antonin Decarie and Jean Pascal are both promoted by Yvon Michel, while Joachim Alcine and Zsolt Erdei are advised by Greg Leon and promoted by DiBella Entertainment.
