Kevin Barry, the head trainer for WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs) is amused by some of the recent interviews that were conducted by IBF, WBA, IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs).

A deal is nearly complete and finalized for a Parker vs. Joshua unification, which is being targeted for a date of March 31, likely at Principality in Cardiff.

But in recent interviews, Joshua has been mapping out the rest of his year - discussing potential fights with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and former unified king Tyson Fury.

Barry cautions that Joshua may never make it to those fights, after Parker gets through with him.

"Joshua is already talking about Tyson Fury and Wilder - this is laughable to me," Barry told The Express.

"If he's really looking past Joseph Parker, he is in for a huge, rude awakening."

Barry also rejected the idea that his fighter would be affected by the huge audience. Nearly 80,000 fans would be expected to pack Cardiff's Principality Stadium for the fight.

Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, has been wondering if Parker is capable of dealing with a massive hostile crowd.

"Joseph Parker is the most relaxed fighter I have ever worked with as far as controlling his emotions," Barry said.

"Whether it's two, five, ten, or eighty thousand people, it is going to be the same guy that walks to the ring, the same routine that we've had for the last five years."

Barry believes Hearn should be more concerned about another factor in the fight - Joshua's chin, which the entire Parker camp believe is very vulnerable to hard shots.

"I know this about heavyweight boxing: you need to be able to give a punch - and both these guys can give a punch - and you need to take a punch. Joseph Parker has never been down as an amateur, as a professional, or in sparring," Barry said.

"I'd back him against any heavyweight in the world, and we are looking forward to backing him against Anthony Joshua."
