MGM Grand, Las Vegas - In a flyweight bout, Rodel Mayol (28-5-2, 21KOs) pulled out a tough ten round majority decision win over Javier Gallo (17-4-1, 9KOs). The scores were 95-95, 98-92 and 98-92 for Mayol.

Rising junior welterweight prospect Jose Benavidez Jr. (11-0, 10KOs) beat down James Hope (6-8-1, 4KOs) for five rounds before the referee stopped the fight. The end came at 1:43 in the fifth when Benavidez pinned Hope in the corner and punished his body with hard combinations.

Impressive junior welterweight Pier Oliver Cote (16-0, 11KOs) stopped Aris Ambriz (15-2-1, 8KOs) in four. Cote had him reeling with hard left hands in the second round, and sent him down from hard right hand combination in the third. Ambriz beat the count, but couldn't really do anything against the harder punching Cote. After landing a few more hard right hands in the fourth, referee Tony Weeks finally stepped in and stopped the contest.

Lightweight Karl Dargan (9-0, 4KOs) opened up the show with a six round decision win over Randy Arrellin (8-5, 4KOs). The scores were 60-54, 60-54, 59-55. Dargan is trained by Naazim Richardson.
