WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao says it's 'now or never' to make a fight with WBC/WBA champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Their camps and respective networks, HBO and Showtime, have been negotiating for weeks to finalize a May 2nd pay-per-view fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao and his promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank have claimed for the last two weeks that they've agreed to all of the demands submitted to them by Mayweather's team. If the deal falls through, Pacquiao doubts the fight will ever happen.
"Me and my promoter Bob Arum have already agreed to all of the terms and conditions in the negotiations. We're just waiting for a response. I think maybe next week we can hear from them. But we have a Plan B and a Plan C. Everything we're agreed to and there is no problems with the terms and conditions," Pacquiao to The Guardian.
"I'm not saying that [at the end of the month] I'm closing the door for him. It will be open as long as we haven't signed anything for the Plan B. I think if this fight doesn't happen this year, it will be hard to make it happen anymore. That's what I believe. Its been how many years? Five years working on that and nothing happens."
