Manny Pacquiao has responded to Floyd Mayweather's recent Showtime televised interview, where the unbeaten WBO/WBC/WBA welterweight champion called the Filipino superstar a "sore loser" and a "coward."

The two boxers fought in the richest event in boxing history on May 2nd, with Mayweather winning a twelve round unanimous decision when the smoke was cleared.

Mayweather says he's very upset with Pacquiao for telling reporters that his performance was affected because he entered the fight with a right shoulder injury and further hurt himself in the fourth round.

Very few were aware of the injury, and it was only revealed by Pacquiao at the post fight press conference.

Pacquiao says he only wanted to inform the public of the injury and had no intention of using that as an excuse. Currently he is not thinking about a rematch, and is placing his focus on fully recovering from the recent surgery on his shoulder.

He goes on to discuss that he was treated unfairly during the event, because Mayweather wanted to control every single aspect of what took place before and after the fight.

“I’m not a sore loser. I just wanna tell the truth so the people will know,” Pacquiao told Inquirer.ph. “[I] fought in an uneven playing field where my opponent was in control of everything, inside and outside the ring. He’s an astute fighter who doesn’t have the so-called sense of fair play. I respect the decision of the judges and I accept my defeat. Right now, my focus is to fully recover from my right shoulder injury and on my job as a lawmaker."
