Pacquiao Refuses To Engage Mayweather in Verbal War

By Edward Chaykovsky

Eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao has refused to take the bait. For several days, on the social networks, WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been taking shots at the Filipino star with photos and reminding Pacquiao of his tax troubles and the 2012 knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez.

Speaking with the Inquirer, Pacquiao said:

“I’m thanking Floyd Mayweather that he has not forgotten me. I’m glad that he is still thinking of me,” Pacquiao told the paper. Christmas reminds us of God’s greatest love for us. He teaches us to love even our enemies. So, I won’t say anything that would hurt anybody."

Promoters have been trying to match the two boxers for years, but the two sides have been unable to reach a full agreement on the terms.

Floy dragging Pacman's name again to sell his next boring fight. He also needs Canelo and his bro Broner to help him out. And on Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican holiday. What a joke.
