Pacquiao-Marquez Results: Benavidez, Laurente Win

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Filipino welterweight Dennis Laurente (41-4-5, 22KOs) scored a one punch seventh round knockout over Ayi Bruce (20-5, 12KOs).

Hot junior welterweight prospect Jose Benavidez Jr. (14-0, 12KOs) won an easy six round unanimous decision over Samuel Santana (4-5-2). All three judges saw it 60-50. Santana went down twice in the first round. Benavidez dominated the second and put him down a for a third time. During the fourth, Benavidez dropped him for the fourth time in the contest. Santana survived for the next two rounds.

Featherweight Victor Pasillas (1-0) made his pro debut, winning a four round unanimous decision over Jose Garcia (0-4). All three judges saw it 40-36.

In a super flyweight bout, Fernando Lumacad (25-3-3, 12KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over Joseph Rios (10-6-2, 4KOs). The scores were 77-73, 77-74 and 78-72. During the end of the second round, Rios was hurt and took a voluntary knee in the corner. In the fifth, an inside hook sent Rios down for the second time in the fight. Lumacad appeared to coast in the final three rounds of the contest.

Did anyone notice that after the announcement of the robbery a bottle of water almost hit Paquiao?? Robbery!!!! Many Mexicans were throwing stuff and destroying hotel property, specially the bathrooms were vandalized a bit.
