Manny Pacquiao hopes to prove he is still a force in boxing at his July 2 [July 1 in the United States] world title fight against Australia's Jeff Horn in Brisbane.

Pacquiao, 38, admits he is not familiar with former school teacher Horn ahead of their WBO welterweight championship bout but wanted to put on a show.

"I want to defend my crown and to prove I am still there in boxing - I am not done yet in boxing," he said in Brisbane on Monday.

"I'm not going to predict the fight but I will do my best to entertain the fans. I'm very excited to fight here, I've fought a lot of fighters in the states. This is new, I'm excited. I can't wait for the fight," Pacquiao said. "My message for him is to work hard and show you are 100 percent conditioned on July 2 so we can give people a good fight."

Pacquiao would not discuss the topic of a rematch clause. Horn's promoter revealed that Pacquiao and his team requested an immediate rematch clause, which was agreed to.

The Filipino star admits that he's never watched Horn fight and knows very little about him, but intends to start watching some of his fight videos this week. Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, is confident of a knockout win.

"The fans motivate me to defend my belt on July 2. I'm looking forward to that. That's good for him that there's a lot of people to cheer for him. That's what I want. I love that," Pacquiao said.

"We're not talking yet about a rematch. I'm concerned on how to entertain the people, I know a lot of people will watch this fight."

"I don't know much about him but I know he's a fighter. I haven't watched his fights yet but I'm going to get his last three fights and watch them."
