Pacquiao: I Got Careless, I Never Expected That Punch

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs) knocked Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs) out cold in the sixth round of their fourth and likely final battle. Their first fight, in 2004, ended in a twelve round draw, with Pacquiao winning close controversial decisions in 2008 and 2011.

"I was just starting to feel confident and then I got careless. I thought I was getting him in the last couple of rounds but I got hit by a strong punch," Pacquiao said. "I never expected that punch. I got hit by a punch I didn't see."

Pacquiao, who earned earned $26 million for the fight, was ahead 47-46 on all three scorecards after the fifth round.
It's like Manny wasn't thinking - what possessed him to lunge into perfect angle for the right hand with no defence while trying to jab JMM's arm? Things like that make me start to believe Mayweather would have put him…

Why did they have to throw in the 26 million for? We all know Floyd makes more than that and it is as if they're trying to poke fun at Pac for getting KO'ed and making less than Mayweather.
Manny had the wrong game plan here. Sure he looked really good and quick but he was leaving himself wide open in the process. He was being to agressive in the fight and that led to him getting KO'd.
Yup,…

What a fight last night I had it 47 to 46 for Pac. Then Marquez landed that perfect right cross and it was nite nite time.
