| Pablo Cesar Cano, Sergio Thompson, Wilder Get Wins

By Miguel Rivera Oasis Hotel Complex, Cancun, Quintana Roo - Junior welterweight contender Pablo Cesar Cano (24-1-1, 19KOs) stopped Fidel Monterrosa Munoz (29-6) in ninth round after landing a crippling shot to the body. Fresh from his shocking two round TKO win over highly regarded Jorge Linares, the WBC's top rated lightweight Sergio “Yeyo” Thompson (23-2, 21KOs) took a fight in the super featherweight division against Juan Ramon Solis (17-6, 6KOs), and won the vacant WBC silver International title after getting a fifth round technical knockout victory. Solis had been down twice in the fight. Heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder (22-0, 22KOs), a 2008 Olympic bronze medal winner, went right through overmatched Jess Oltmanns (10-3, 7KOs) in the first round. alright lets get Wilder to step up already he's approaching Tyron Brunson territory with his 22 wins and 22 KO's over bums. I'm not saying a top ten opponent or anything, just get him in there with a vet with a decent chin, let him have to work to get a win. |
