| Pablo Cesar Cano Back in Mexico, at 140, on 3/16
by Rick Reeno Robert Diaz, matchmaker for Golden Boy Promotions, advised BoxingScene.com that Pablo Cesar Cano will return on March 16th in Mexico. Televisa will showcase the event and Cano will be the televised headliner. Cano told Golden Boy that he wants to return to the junior welterweight division. Last October, Cano (25-2-1, 19KOs) moved up the welterweight division and came close to defeating WBA champion Paulie Malignaggi, who won a close split decision at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Cano actually failed to make weight for that match and most expected him to stay at 147, but his team states that a miscalculation [on his weight] during fight week was the root cause for the mishap. Josesito Lopez I think would be the best opponent from a fan point of view I think the most dangerous out of Khan's rumored opponents with Cano and Senchenko not in the running anymore.
I wonder if Lopez can make 140 in intervie... |
