Oscar Gonzaléz defeated Adrian Young with a ten round unanimous decision at the Forum Tecate in Tijuana. Gonzalez (22-2-0, 14 KOs) landed the harder shots on Young (19-1-1, 15 KOs) in a very entertaining fight. Young was not intimidated and tried his best to fight back with his own power. The scores were 98-93, 97-93 and 100-91. Gonzalez had trouble making weight on Friday and now he must make a decision on what he plans to do with his future as a featherweight. He weighed a little over 127-pounds and was unable to get down any further, and paid 10% of his purse to Young.
