Ciudad Obregon, Son - WBO world featherweight champion Orlando "Siri" Salido rallied after suffering two knockdowns to stop Filipino Weng Haya with 35 seconds remaining in the eight round at the Palenque Ciudad in Obregon, Sonora.

After an even first two rounds, Haya (15-5, 8KOs) caught Salido (37-11-2, 25 KOs) with a big left hook at the end of the third round. Salido got up at the count of nine and was saved by the bell. Still hurting from the previous round, Salido was dropped once again early in the fourth. Around the middle of the fifth, Salido got his wits back and started to battle back. In the eight he was punishing Haya before the fight was stopped.

In the co-feature, former champion Cristian Mijares (44-6-2, 20 KOs) stopped Alex Valdez (25-7-2, 19 KOs) in the third of a super flyweight contest.

Both were lucky especially the lucky lowblow in rd.7. and luckily the ref waived off thefight in rd.8 even if Haya is still ready...

Juanma didnt land cleanly on Salido, and the idiot was spent after the first round. He even says so, in between the first and second rounds. Either way,his defense is what fails him badly!
You mean after 8 rounds and hundreds of punches thrown ...

LOL and people wonder why the fight is being made in Juanma's backyard. Looked like there were 200 fans at the most in the Salido fight, fans arrived for the later fights, not to many Salido fans even in Mexico. Salido should still win the rematch by KO but if he gets careless like that it'...
