Orlando Salido Faces Yamaguchi, Mike Oliver Withdraws

Featherweight world champion Orlando "Siri" Salido will make his world title defense against Kenichi Yamaguchi in his hometown of Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico on Saturday July 23, after his original opponent Mike Oliver pullout with injury. The Salido-Yamagushi bout will be telecast by Fox Deportes on "Top Rank Live`` and former world champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez is expected at ringside, the winner will meet Lopez later this year.
 
In the co-main event local favorite Alex Valdez will take on the always tough Enrique Bernache  in a 10 round featherweight bout.
 
"Things like this happen in boxing all the time and I will be ready to take on Yamaguchi on my first world title defense," said Salido, today in Ciudad Obregon.

Hopefully it's an easy night for Salido, because I think everyone wants to see the Lopez Rematch. If he wins, I'd love to see a Gamboa rematch as well (if Gamboa gets past PDL, which I think he will)
