Orlando Salido Asks WBO To Inch Him To Roman Martinez

By Miguel Rivera

Zanfer Promotions, on behalf of former WBO featherweight world champion Orlando Salido (39-12-2, 27KOs), has asked the World Boxing Organization to remove Salido from his #5 position in the 126-pound rankings, and move him to a top spot in the top ten rankings of the super featherweight division. Salido is looking to challenge WBO super featherweight champion Roman "Rocky" Martinez (27-1-2, 16KOs) of Puerto Rico in the coming months.

Would be a good fight. Rocky can take a great shot. But not sure how much Salido has left after his long/hard career, the Juanma wars, and his last showing vs Mikey. And he'd be going up to fight Rocky.
