A deal is basically wrapped up for IBO super middleweight champion Thomas Oosthuizen (21-0, 13 KOs) to make a defense of his title against undefeated Brandon Gonzalez (17-0, 10 KOs) on June 29th as part of an HBO televised tripleheader. The main event features a middleweight fight between WBA/IBO middleweight king Gennady Golovkin (26-0, 23 KOs) and top contender Matthew Macklin (29-4, 20 KOs). The card takes place at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Mashantucket, CT.

Promoter Lou DiBella denied published reports that junior middleweight contender Willie Nelson (20-1-1, 12 KOs) will face Joshua Clottey in the televised opener. The opponent hunt continues, says DiBella, but many of the boxers approached for the HBO opportunity have either turned Nelson down without hearing an offer or they overpriced themselves.

DiBella tells BoxingScene - "That is not true, Willie Nelson is not going to fight Joshua Clottey. We are still searching for an opponent, but nobody wants to fight Willie Nelson."
Yeah he sucked, seemed to be preparing himself to justify a robbery. Thankfully the judges were at least a little more fair. I think Bellew has made a mistake in opting for the rematch, the Malawian has too much ring smarts for him. When is Oosthuizen going to step up his...
I agree in my opinion that Bellew is a tall guy who hits hard and if made to miss by slippery fighter like Chilemba he runs out of ideas and has no plan B and for a tall guy he does not know how to fight behind his jab - I personally had Chilemba winning that fight by 2 rounds I jus...
I think at 25 Chilemba has a lot of potential. Imo he beats Bellew in the rematch unless Bellew can connect with something big in the early rounds. It would be interesting to see Chilemba against one of the champs, I believe a win over Bellew puts him in line to fight Ch...
Hi The Weebler- I had friends at ringside when he fought Chilemba and the feeling by the audience was that none deserved to lose on the night and the draw was a pretty accurate result - however Chilemba fought very well and most people thought Tommy had another gear or two and could ...
I see he has a draw with Chilemba on his record. I wonder who really won that fight.
Hi The Weebler- I had friends at ringside when he fought Chilemba and the feeling by the audience was that none deserved to lose on the night and the draw was a pretty accurate resul...
