Ahmet Oner, President of Arena Box Promotions, said Odlanier Solis proved in the first round that he has the capabilities to beat WBC champion Vitali Klitschko. Saturday's fight which took place in Cologne, Germany, saw Klitschko knock Solis down with a right hand, but when the Cuban stumbled backwards he injured his right knee and couldn't continue. Before the stoppage, Solis was doing well in the fight with his movement and quick punches.

"I'm shocked. I couldn't imagine this happening. Odlanier is now in hospital. Due to the unexpected injury, Solis and I lost a lot. It's very difficult for me to take such a blow. What a missed chance. The first round showed that Odlanier is able to beat Klitschko. He was faster and hit harder. And then suddenly it all collapsed - because of injury. I have no words, just negative emotions," Oner told Helen Leonhardt.

Solis had more chances than most boxers to get to the top because of his am background...

[QUOTE=drjerryfowler]Some fans are dillusional. The replay of round 1 showed Solis not even close to winning anything. It proved ZERO. Solis might have better luck if he stayed in shape all year round - like Vitali. The K brothers are a great example of hard work paying off. They come in gre...

[QUOTE=Phatfarm1980]The stuff I have read about this fight is ridiculous. I am totally neutral in this fight! To be fair to Solis he started well and landed some good shots, but that is it. Vitali didnt even bat a eye lid at his 'right hands'. Vitali would have took them right hands all night ...
