Promoter Ahmet Oner of Arena Box is very confident that his boxer Odlanier Solis (17-0, 12KOs) will unseat WBC champion Vitali Klitschko (41-2, 38KOs) on Saturday in Cologne, Germany. He says Klitschko was avoiding the fight for nearly two years. The opportunity has finally come and he expects Solis to come through with a title win.

"Solis knows this is the chance of a lifetime. Unlike most of recent opponents of the [Klitschko] brothers, his interest is not money, but the title. And yet, unlike their previous their opponents, we are not going to talk a lot. Let us once again revisit the question as to [Solis'] shape after the fight,  when Solis has the title and Vitali is laying in a hospital bed," Oner said.

"Klitschko's management did everything possible to avoid this fight. Solis was waiting for him for two years. And although he has always had this opportunity, he preferred to fight Johnson, Sosnowski and Briggs. We wanted this fight to take place, and therefore we accepted the slippery conditions from Klitschko. Probably, Vitali will suffer an injury in round eight or nine, when he notices that his chances of winning are zero. Fritz Zdunek can stop the fight to save the humiliation of Vitali. I want him to get the victory before the judges at ringside can finish their scoring."
Gomez was a lot better than Solis,(there is NO comparison), a cruiserweight champ for several years with about 10 defences all won by KO. Avery clever, mobile boxer with a KO punch. Klirschko nearly killed him.
Not alot of people give credit to THE VICTORY he got over...

Are you kidding?????? Solis has been trash talking about the Klitchkos for years!!! Man, read the FKing boxing web sites for a change, like *********.com and Solis is arrogant as hell.

Solis doesn't ever bother to trash talk himself. If that mofo showed some real dedication and IF boxing was his passion he'd be a freaking beast@225lbs with hunger for success and legacy.
What relevance does this have to the thread subject?
About as much relevance as trying to figure out how a canary can fly and an elephant can't. Just like all CARLISLE'S posts, an intemperate Klitschko hater, or a perpetual grouch, don't know which. He's always been th...
This dude was talking the same crazy **** with his fighter Gomez. When will these idiot managers shut there pie hole. He's already predicting an injury for Vitali because he knows that's Solis' only shot at winning & that's why he'll need medical help at the hospital. Real confid...
