Omar Narvaez's Injury Will Keep Him Out For 3 Months
By Jhonny Gonzalez
As previously reported, WBO super flyweight champion Omar Narvaez broke his left hand in last Saturday decision win over William Urina. The doctor has advised Narvaez that he needs to rest his hand for at least three months. Narvaez has been ordered to wear a cast for 40 days to ensure the injury properly heals. He injured the same left hand in an automobile accident in 2005.
"I would like to make three defenses this year. Hopefully I can be back in action again soon, and it would be better if it's a unification fight. The doctor told me to take three months off before I fight again. We will have to see how it heals," Narvaez.
