Omar Narvaez Retains The WBO Belt, Stops Garcia

Estadio Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina - WBO super flyweight champion Omar Narvaez (37-1-2, 20 KOs) stopped Johnny Garcia (16-4-1, 8 KOs) in the eleventh round. Narvaez was getting the edge in a good boxing match and dropped Garcia in the seventh round. Narvaez controlled the action and then let his hands go in round eleven, dropping Garcia three times to end things.
In the co-feature, a shocker with middleweight Sergio Sanders (20-9-2, 11 KOs) getting dropped in the final minute of the fight but doing enough to win a split decision over previously undefeated prospect Billi Godoy (26-1, 13 KOs). The scores were 76-75, 76.5-76 on two cards and Godoy got the nod 77.5-76.5 on the third card.
