The WBA super flyweight champion Hugo Cazares has immediately entered into negotiations to face Omar Narvaez of Argentina, who owns the belt of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), in a unification fight on April 30 on Mexican soil.
Cazares had a recent points win in Japan over local challenger Hiroyuki Hisatake to retain his crown. Now he looks to beat the king of the WBO. Hugo plans for this year are to make a few defenses of his championship and then in September go for the world bantamweight title held by Japanese star Koki Kameda.
Hugo has a record of 34 wins, 24 KOs, six defeats and two draws. Narvaez has 30 wins, no defeats, two draws and 19 KOs.
