Omar Chavez's Comeback Opponent is Set, Emilio Julio

As BoxingScene.com had previously reported, welterweight contender Omar "Businessman" Chavez will return to the ring on Saturday March 17 in his hometown of Culiacan. Zanfer Promotions will stage the event and TV Azteca will televise. Zanfer has announced the comeback opponent, solid adversary Emilio Julio (20-7-2, 13 KOs) of Colombia. Chavez (27-1-1, 20 KOs) returns for the first time since last December's decision loss to countryman Jorge "Maromerito" Paez.

"I want to thank my father, my family and my team for their advise, to learn from my loss and to see the type of things that you have not see before. I will return with greater maturity in all aspects, but especially with a great conviction to prove that I have the talent and to honor the name of my father," said Omar.
