Welterweight contender Omar Chavez (27-1-1, 20KOs) will likely return in a TV Azteca televised fight on March 17th in Culiacan, Mexico. In his last fight, Chavez suffered the first setback of his young career.
Chavez, 22-years-old, lost a ten round majority decision to countryman Jorge Paez Jr. on December 17th in Chiapas. Omar is still dreaming of winning a world title like his older brother, WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
