| Omar Chavez-Jorge Paez Jr. Likely For September 3
|
|
By Miguel Rivera Jorge Paez Jr. (28-4-1, 17KOs) is reportedly the likely candidate to face Omar Chavez (26-0-1, 19KOs) in a welterweight battle on September 3 in Chiapas, Mexico. Chavez takes in his second fight of the year and Paez is his most experienced opponent to date. Paez Jr. This would be the fourth fight of the year for Paez, who started well with a win over former champion Jose Luis Castillo in March. Paez would lose a close split decision to prospect Jose Lopez in May, but came back to defeat Jesus Gurrola in July. Tags: Jorge Paez Jr. , Omar Chavez |

Easy win for little JR's bro..., Paez too heavy and isn't disciplined to go down a divisiion where he would be better... |

Little Paez could've done something because he's actually got a decent set of skills and agility; however, his lack of dedication faltered him. The fact that he's fighting at welterweight and not lightweight is just another indicator of that! A shame, really. |

If Jorge Paez Jr. can win this he can be the new Dinero de Vaca. |
