Omar Chavez Decisions Charlie Navarro, Topo Wins

At the Palenque in Tepic, Nayarit - Omar "Businessman" Chavez (30-2, 22 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Charlie Navarro (23-7-1, 16 KOs) at a catch-weight of 150-pounds where both boxers had their moments with big punches being exchanged. The scores were 96-94, 97-93 and 97-93 all in favor of Omar Chavez. Both fighters were exchausted in the ten round, looking to reach the finish line.

In the co-feature, Alberto "Topo" Rosas (38-7, 27 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Fernando Vargas (26-7-3, 17 KOs) [not that Fernando Vargas]. The scores were 98-92, 99-90 and 100-89.

Jr. staggered and almost stopped a well regarded MW champ. He definitely has what it takes to be a world class fighter. Does he have what it takes to be his father part 2? No... but neither does anyone else…

Julio Cesar Chavez father had "it". Julio C Chavez Jr. & Omar Chavez do not have "it". Chavez's kids box because its there job. But they do not have what "it" takes to box.
