Olexander Usyk, Joseph Parker Score Big TKO Wins

By Alexey Sukachev

Koenig Pilsener Arena, Oberhausen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany - 2012 London Olympics heavyweight gold medalist Olexander Usyk, promoted by K2 Promotions, continued his professional education with a well-earned third-round kayo over Germany-based Ghanaian tough guy Ben Nsafoah (15-10-2, 8 KOs).

Usyk took the first couple of rounds to know his for better. He won both of them with his right jab, looking very much like a southpaw copy of Wladimir Klitchko. Usyk gradually added left hands to the mix in round two and finally put Nsafoah down early in round three. The Ghanaian got up but was almost immediately put down with a picturesque right-left combo to punctuate his win. He is now 3-0, with 3 KOs.

------------------

Undefeated rising heavyweight prospect Joseph Parker (8-0, 7KOs) stopped late replacement Marcelo Luiz Nascimento (17-6, 15KOs) in seven rounds. Parker was initially scheduled to face Sherman Williams who withdrew less than a week ago.

nice win for parker. good arsenal of punches, good movement & he was aggressive. double jab sometimes, lead right or hook, etc. nascimento took a few good shots but he was back pedalling the entire fight.

I don't think Leapi landed an effective blow. He came in shape like Arreola. The Samoan war dance had more suspense.

the klitschko fight is a joke. leapai is not quick enough to get past klitschko's reach to land a shot. every time he gets close to WK, WK clinches on leans on him. this fight should not go past 7…
