2004 Olympic gold medal winner Odlanier Solis (17-0, 12KOs) is blaming the rumors regarding his alleged "lazy training" on the WBC heavyweight champion, Vitali Klitschko (41-2, 38KOs). Klitschko will face Solis on March 19 in Cologne, Germany.

Whether Klitschko spread something or not, Solis has appeared overweight in several of his past fights. He claims to have read medical reports on the subject and claims that a fighter's weight has no bearing on speed and response time.

"Medicine has long shown that weight does not affect the response and speed of a boxer in the ring. Everything else about that subject is speculation and fiction. I'm in perfect shape and ready to defeat Klitschko. Do you know who is spreading this? It is Klitschko who spreads such rumors. If he could come to our training camp, then he would see how I give everything of myself in training," Solis said to Bleak.
