Liverpool's Nick Quigley fights for his first title on January 28, the 23-year-old meets Stokes Erick 'The Eagle' Ochieng on the undercard of Carl Frampton versus Kris Hughes at London's York Hall venue. Matchroom have informed BoxingScene.com that the English light-middleweight title will be on the line, a belt that was left vacate in the wake of Brian Rose's British title victory over Prince Arron earlier this month.
Quigley holds a 10-1 record, his sole defeat coming to Robert Lloyd Taylor in the final of September's Prizefighter: The Light-Middleweights tournament. Ochieng is 8-1 (2), the 24-year-old had hoped to meet Rose but will now set his sights on Quigley.
