Nav Mansouri Faces Thompson at Ponds Forge on Oct. 4th

Coldwell Boxing light-middleweight star, Nav Mansouri, makes the first defence of his recently acquired English title on October 4th when he faces the well-schooled Mark Thompson at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge Arena. Mansouri obtained the strap by defeating Tyan Booth back in May and Dave Coldwell is insistent that his Rotherham charge is in no mood to surrender his prized possession.

“That English title means the world to Nav and it’ll take something seriously special to relieve him of it,” said the fast-rising promoter. “Mark Thompson is a dangerous opponent and for a long time, he’s been on the verge of doing something big in this sport. He’s been around title class for a long time so it’s a really big step up for Nav so it’s a fight that certainly needs to bring the best out of him and his best might be exactly what he needs against a fighter of Thompson’s calibre.”

Coldwell added, “Nav is a fighter that everyone at Coldwell Boxing has high hopes for and he’s fast building himself a reputation as one of Britain’s most entertaining fighters. This fight with Thompson certainly has all the ingredients to add to that reputation but it’s important that he boxes with some brains too because this is a really tough fight to call. Fans in Rotherham and Sheffield have already taken to Nav in a big way so I’m hoping that he earns a few more supporters on October 4th. This could be special.

Go on Nav, talented bloke and a nice guy to-boot. With Coldwell promotions behind him he will get a great stage to showcase his skills. Keep going son!!
