By Ryan Burton

Arlington, Texas - In a battle of undefeated lightweights, Ismail Muwendo (17-0)dominated Rolando Chinea (10-1-1) over 8 rounds en route to an eyebrow raising majority decision victory. Local favorite Skender Halili (8-1) lost in front of his hometown crowd against San Antonio rival Benjamin Whitaker (9-1). Both welterweights came out firing punches but neither fighter was able to ever get his opponent in series trouble. Whitaker's  speed proved to be the difference and won by the tallies of 80-72, 78-74 and 79-73.

Light heavyweight prospect Medzhid Bektemirov (16-0) impressed with a dominant decision victory over Michael Gbenga (16-19). The Ronnie Shields trained Bektemirov came out aggressive and took the fight right at his overmatched but tough as nails opponent. Gbenga absorbed some hellacious shots but never went down during the 8 round bout. The final scores were 80-72 twice and 79-73.
