"Sugar" Shane Mosley is 0-3-1 in his last four fights, but is continued his career nonetheless. He fights Pablo Cesar Cano on Saturday in Cancun, Mexico, and tells BoxingScene he received inspiration from future Hall of Famer James Toney, who is still fighting despite being well past his prime.

"I was on the plane signing autographs with James Toney, he was the IBA and IBU heavyweight champion of the world, and he's like 44," Mosley, 41, told BoxingScene. "He was giving me the pep talk and said 'You retire when you ready, when I'm ready to retire, I'll retire.' I kind of feel the same way. I love the boxing game and I'll know when it's time.

"I fought Canelo (Alvarez), went the distance. The next guy [Josesito Lopez] that fights him is stopped in five. And that guy beat Victor Ortiz. So the guy that stopped Victor Ortiz was stopped in five by Canelo. And I had some pretty good moments, too."
Hopefully he doesn't seek financial advice from Holyfield
Or financial advice from the bum in front of the liquor store. Or advice on how to fight the best, give fans what they want, and take on all comers from Floyd mayweather

So talking to a slurring Toney convinced Mosley to return?

no pep talk will revive a shot fighter Mosley's been done for yrs now, Cano will beat him you'd think Mosley has whored out enough to be financially safe he shouldn't be sticking around anymore unless he needs to the ass kickings he's taken 2010-2012 paid him well
Cano is no pushover. I just hope Shane knows what he doing. Although, he could surprise us all. Past prime fighters seem to do that every 3rd or 4th fight on average. Stranger things have happened.
I kinda have similar expectations. With nothing to prove mindset, h...
