Former three division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley is a mutual opponent for Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs). Mosley lost to both by twelve round decision. On September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Mayweather will once again move up in weight to challenge Canelo for his WBC/WBA junior middleweight titles at a catch-weight of 152-pounds.

Mosley says the much younger, less experienced Canelo has all of the necessary tools to defeat Mayweather.

"Canelo definitely has the goods to beat Floyd Mayweather. He's young, he's strong, he has good speed, good power. He has all of the ability to beat Floyd. He just has to go in there and beat him. He can't be like 'Floyd is smaller than me and I'm going to walk him down and beat him.' He has to treat this fight like he's fighting the best fighter in the world - because he really is," Mosley told Bernardo Osuna of Nacion.

[QUOTE=mathed]I can agree that the open scoring probably got to Trout but had he put on the dominating performance that many thought he would easily put on against Canelo, he would have won by a landslide. Cotto got beat by arguably the p4p best fighter in the world. Sure Floyd was moving up f...

[QUOTE=Arakawa Dunn]Canelo is better than posters give himcredit for being but two points: the open scoring killed Trout. To find out one card had you that far down in a fight you arguably were winning made him change his style completely. he lost to canelo but that open scoring was a killer. ...
