| Mormeck: Klitschko Deal in Play, Povetkin Offer Too

By Ruslan Chikov As BoxingScene.com reported on Saturday, former cruiserweight king Jean Marc Mormeck (36-4, 22KOs) is under serious consideration to face IBF/IBO/WBO/WBA heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (56-3, 49KOs) on December 10th, possibly at the ESPRIT arena in Düsseldorf, Germany. Mormeck has been inactive since last December's decision win over Timur Ibragimov. Mormeck has confirmed that there are ongoing negotiations to face Klitschko but he won't confirm whether or not the fight is going forward. Sources out of Germany are noting that a deal could be finalized between both sides within a week. They have reportedly reached an agreement on the terms. Another fight offer is also on the table. Mormeck revealed that a deal has been placed on the table to face the WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin. "I can't announce anything right now. IMO Mormeck got beat in his last fight by Timur Ibragimov, who got robbed by a hometown decision in Paris.
Can't say I'm really jacked up to see this one. Might be a highlight reel KO, though. |

do you think the klitschko's care what any of you think? BOXING IS A BUSINESS NOT A SPORT! if you are going to get punched in the head 200 times in a night ,you might as well get paid as much as possible to do it.mormeck will bring lots of money from french tv network & whatever happens in france... |
