Moreno Puts His Name in The Hat, Wants Donaire Shot

By Jhonny Gonzalez

WBA bantamweight champion Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (30-1, 10KOs) has thrown his name in the hat. Moreno told reporters that he wants to unify his weight class with the new WBC/WBO champion Nonito Donaire (26-1, 18KOs). Moreno is involved in a planned fight with Lorenzo Parra but the contest continues to get pushed back over conflicts with television networks. Donaire won his titles on Saturday with a violent two round knockout of Mexico's Fernando Montiel.

Moreno is a good boxer but Nonito has more tools and I'm seeing winning if they fight. Nonito is a complete fighter. I can see the fight going the distance though... But wait! Moreno told he'll be like mayweather so…

[QUOTE=FightFreak;10142297]Yep, he can definitely stop the Donaire train with the constant movement and distance fighting from the southpaw stance. I still give Nonito the edge though. He's a thinking fighter, good at misdirecting opponents while waiting and timing his opponents…
