Culiacan, Sinaloa - Fernando "Kochulito" Montiel held a press conference to officially announce his comeback fight, appearing for the first time since he suffered the defeat against Nonito Donaire. He will face Nehomar Cermeno is a fight being staged at the stadium Banorte in the Sinaloa capital. The fight will be broadcast by TV Azteca in a co-promotion between Corpox and Zanfer and supported by the Government of Sinaloa and H. Municipality of Culiacán, Sinaloa.

"I am very happy to fight in this city that I consider as my home even though I've never climbed into a ring in here," said Montiel. "Rest assured that I'll be at 100%. I am motivated to become the second Mexican to win four world titles [in four weight division] but I am focused on Cermeno, a Venezuelan boxer who is very experienced. He beat Cristian Mijares twice and he's hungry, like me, and wants to climb back to the top," Montiel said.
Wow, this is not an easy fight for Montiel. I'm kind of shocked they would choose Cermeno after such a devastating KO.
he wasn't ko'ed
