Montiel, Rubio Doubleheader is in Play For June 9th

By Miguel Rivera

A doubleheader is being planned for June 9th in Mexico. In the main event, former champion Fernando Montiel (47-4-2, 37KOs) would face Arturo "Rey" Santos (11-1, 4KOs) in a featherweight fight.  In the co-feature, top middleweight contender Marco Antonio "Veneno" Rubio (53-6-1, 46KOs) will face undefeated rookie Jorge "Demon" Cota (11-0, 11KOs). Rubio will return for the first time since February's loss to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Cota stopped every opponent, including last year's eight round TKO of veteran Yori Boy Campos.
