BoxingScene.com recently spoke to lightweight contender John Molina (23-1, 19KOs). The southern California based fighter has been mentioned as a possible opponent for WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios (28-0, 21KOs). Molina told BoxingScene that he is confident the fight with Rios will come to fruition.
"I am confident that Rios will take the fight. I don't know why he wouldn't take it," stated Molina who has been working in the gym. "I am in good shape. I am feeling good and I am in great condition. I will be in the best shape of my life for that (the Rios) fight."
Both Rios and Molina are known as offensive fighters and a fight between the two
sluggers is sure to produce fireworks. Rios will return on the Miguel Cotto-Antonio Margarito undercard, which takes place on December 3rd at New York's Madison Square Garden.
