Queretaro, Mexico - The Mexican boxing will have an immediate opportunity to get even with Filipino boxing on Saturday in Queretaro. The event will be broadcast by TV Azteca and promoted by Zanfer Promotions. After last Saturday's spectacular knockout that Nonito Donaire put on Fernando "ko-chulito" Montiel in Las Vegas, the Mexican fans are eager to celebrate a victory in the ring with a Filipino boxer being beat. In the headline bout, the flyweight champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Julio Cesar "Pingo" Miranda, will defend his title against Filipino Arden Diale.
“Pingo” Miranda (34-5-1, 27 KOs) will defend his title for a third time against a Filipino fighter. Diale (14-5-3, 3KOs) has held a WBA regional title and the WBC Youth crown.
"We will continue the streak of Philippine boxing over Mexico. Pacquiao and Donaire motivate us. No disrespect to Miranda, but Mexicans are brave, but we are warriors who are twice as strong and the title is going back to the Philippines," said Diale.
