By Per Ake Persson

Milan, 52, was the father of current WBO jr. middleweight ruler Lukas Konecny but in his day a good fighter himself compiling a 22-13-1 ledger in the pros fighting mainly on the road throughout Europe.

Milan, by then an experienced amateur, turned pro at the age of 34 in 1993 and upset a number of prospects on the road and also fought for a number of minor titles winning some, losing some but always showed a big heart and had an awkward but effective style of fighting - some of it inherited by Lukas.
