Milan Konecny, Father of Lukas, Passes Away at 52

Milan Konecny, after a lengthy illness, has passed away at the age of the 52 in Brno, Czech Republic, reports sesboxen.de. Milan, 52, was the father of current WBO jr. middleweight ruler Lukas Konecny but in his day a good fighter himself compiling a 22-13-1 ledger in the pros fighting mainly on the road throughout Europe.

Milan, by then an experienced amateur, turned pro at the age of 34 in 1993 and upset a number of prospects on the road and also fought for a number of minor titles winning some, losing some but always showed a big heart and had an awkward but effective style of fighting - some of it inherited by Lukas.
