According to Danish television, super middleweight contender Mikkel Kessler (44-2, 33 KOs) is going to have surgery on a broken finger which forced him to withdraw from a title fight with WBO champion Robert Stieglitz (40-2, 23 KOs). The fight was going to happen on November 5th in Copenhagen, but is now being rescheduled for early 2012. Kessler suffered the injury in training. Medical physicians told him surgery was necessary to insert a screw into the finger. No date has been set for the surgery, but six weeks of rehabilitation will be needed in the post-surgical recovery. Kessler said it's the seventh hand injury of his long career.

^^ Agreed. One last title fight and one last super fight with Bute/Froch/Ward. Then it's back to star in danish reality shows :lol1:

Time to hang it up in a fight or two. Listen to your body and check the accuracy/methodology of your combos. Win over Stieglitz and possibly Bute should cement your legacy as a good Eurofighta.
