BoxingScene has been advised by a source close to the negotiations that a Mikey Garcia-Orlando Cruz fight is being discussed. The source requested anonymity, as they are not authorized to speak on the subject.

Cruz (19-2-1, 9 KOs) made the news last October when he came announced he was gay, becoming the first known openly gay boxer. He would first have to get past a March 15 stay-busy fight against Aalan Martinez (14-1-1, 10 KOs).

Garcia (31-0, 26 KOs), who is trained by his older brother Robert Garcia, won the WBO featherweight title in January with a technical decision victory over Orlando Salido.

Salido dosent want the rematch lol, i see some fans are still butthurt lol, he will get schooled easy again, but anything would be better than fighting Cruz

Cruz was KO'd by Lock, and Lock was KO'd by Garcia very easy. Cruz couldn't beat me and I'm 45 could train 8 weeks and beat him. I would never let a gay fighter beat me anyway.
