Featherweight contender Miguel "Mikey" Garcia is tentatively scheduled to face WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido either in October or on November 10th on the televised pay-per-view undercard of Manny Pacquiao's next fight. He was supposed to have a tune-up fight on the undercard of Salido's July 28th fight but it fell through.

"I don't know what happened. We were going to fight in Mexico but then it just didn't happen. I know it was a Zanfer Promotions card. I'm not sure what the problem was," Garcia told BoxingScene.com.

Garcia said that he has been training and would like to get another fight under his belt before the showdown against Salido.  Garcia last fought in March when he knocked out Bernabe Concepcion on the undercard of the Orlando Salido-Juan Manuel Lopez rematch in Puerto Rico.

"I would like to get a fight in first. Its been a while since I fought. A fight in late August or in September would be perfect before the Salido fight," Garcia revealed.
