Mikey Garcia: I Wouldn't Be Surprised if Angulo Hurts Him
By Rick Reeno
MGM Grand, Las Vegas - WBO super featherweight champion Mikey Garcia will be ringside later tonight, when Alfredo "Perro" Angulo battles for WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in a Showtime Pay-Per-View headliner. Garcia is on the fence regarding which fighter will pull it out at the end, but he anticipates some rocky moments for Canelo.
"It's definitely a good fight. Both of them want to prove something. Canelo wants to prove to get back to the top after the loss to Mayweather and for Angulo, to beat Canelo it would set his career back on track. I think it's a very exciting fight, they will exchange punches, Perro does that every time. I think the fans are going to have a very good night. Logic tells me Canelo is the younger guy, better boxer and has better technique - but I wouldn't be surprised if Perro hurts him because he always comes forward throwing a lot of punches. I can't really pick either guy, but it's going to be an exciting fight," Garcia told BoxingScene.com.
