Mikey Garcia Beats Down Rafael Guzman, TKO in Four

By Luis Sandoval

At the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, featherweight contender Mikey Garcia (26-0, 22KOs) knocked out late-replacement Rafael Guzman (28-3, 20KOs) in four rounds. After a good first round by the taller Guzman, Garcia came back in the second with hard combinations to open up a cut above the right eye of Guzman. Garcia dished out a minor beating the third, and then a straight right hand decked Guzman down hard in the fourth. Guzman tried to get up and stumbled back down to the mat, which forced the referee to wave off the fight.
